And because Costco makes it so easy to buy things for now and put away for later, come October when all of the supplies that seemed so plentiful 6 weeks prior are gone, you can surprise your teacher all over again with a brand new batch of Lysol® and Kleenex® -just in time for cold and flu season to begin.

I honestly can't remember how I managed the classroom supplies before Ziploc came into my life. Plus the best part is that with a little bit of preparation ahead of time, I can foster a sense of responsibility and independence in my students and at the end of the day, isn't that what we all want for our own children as well as our students?
Thankfully Costco has the handy quart-size Ziploc Freezer bags that are not only sturdy but come in the handy 216 count which is perfect for setting up all of my math, art, science centers and so much more. The bags are also perfect for storing our Box Tops in, which we cut off of the box as soon as we get the packages home, making sure they are equally divided between the girls.We also call on other family, members, friends and even neighbors who may not have school aged kids anymore and provide them with decorated Box Top collection jars to help keep their Box Tops in one place and when the jar is full, we can easily come by and empty their jars so they can start saving all over again.
At home, as well as in my classroom, I always have a wide assortment of collection sheets ready at any giving moment just waiting to be filled with Box Tops.
My own personal favorite is the ice cream reward sheet. Students work during the first few weeks of school to fill up their ice cream sheet and then that filled Box Tops sheet severs as their admission ticket to our first month of school Ice Cream Reward Party but don't worry, thanks to my extras and parents who send in their extras, we always makes sure that everyone in the class is in on the fun. There's just something magical about seeing the look in a child's eyes when they bring in their filled in Box Tops' collection sheet or two or three, or better yet, help other classmates complete their forms.

The best part is the pride each of the students feel as they know that the Box Tops that they turn in will be used for something special in our classroom or for our school so whether it means that they will be able to have new PE equipment or supplies for our Art Center or hundreds of other possibilities, they get to see first hand what can happen when we all work together. Because of that small little Box Top on your everyday items, dreams can and do come true.
