THE LATEST house price figures for Flintshire and Wrexham have been revealed.
House prices dropped slightly, by 0.2%, in Wrexham and remained steady in Flintshire in March, the new figures show.
But the drop in Wrexham does not reverse the longer-term trend, which has seen property prices in the area grow by 7.7% over the last year.
The lack of movement in Flintshire maintains the longer-term trend, which has seen property prices in the area grow by 9.1% over the last year.
The average Wrexham house price in March was £205,829, Land Registry figures show - a 0.2% decrease on February.
In Flintshire, the average house price was £219,793, which was largely unchanged from February.
Over the month, the picture was similar to that across Wales, where prices decreased 0.6%, with both areas being above the 1.2% drop for the UK as a whole.

Over the last year, the average sale price of property in Wrexham rose by £15,000 - putting the area sixth among Wales's 22 local authorities with price data for annual growth.
In Flintshire, prices rose by £18,000 - putting the area fourth on that list.
First-time buyers in Wrexham spent an average of £178,000 on their property - £12,000 more than a year ago, and £41,000 more than in March 2018.
By comparison, former owner-occupiers paid £237,000 on average in March - 32.7% more than first-time buyers.
First-time buyers in Flintshire spent an average of £184,000 on their property - £15,000 more than a year ago, and £45,000 more than in March 2018.
By comparison, former owner-occupiers paid £248,000 on average in March - 34.5% more than first-time buyers.
Owners of terraced houses saw the biggest fall in property prices Wrexham in March - they dropped 0.9% in price, to £154,248 on average. But over the last year, prices rose by 7.5%.
Owners of detached houses saw the biggest rise in property prices in Flintshire in March - they increased 0.5%, to £312,220 on average. Over the last year, prices rose by 9.6%.

Semi-detached: down 0.3% monthly; up 7.6% annually; £186,867 average
Flats: down 0.2% monthly; up 5.6% annually; £102,503 average

Buyers paid 3.9% less than the average price in Wales (£214,000) in March for a property in Wrexham. Across Wales, property prices are lower than those across the UK, where the average cost £285,000.
Meanwhile, buyers paid 2.6% more than the average price in Wales (£214,000) in March for a property in Flintshire.
