We've always known Gretta Ray was destined for big things - and now the talented singer and Unearthed High-winning alumni is putting on a big pop show around Australia this Spring.
Not only that - she'll be touring with a brand new album: Positive Spin will be out on August 18 this year.
Positive Spin follows Gretta's ARIA and J Award-nominated album Begin To Look Around, and is billed as an album for the lovers and the lovelorn: "[it's an album] bathed in golden light, a hazy sunset of love and heartbreak."
As a taste of what's to come, Gretta Ray has released the album's first single 'Heartbreak Baby' - a bubbly pop song that's as full of heart as it is heartbreak.
Gretta Ray said she's been reflecting on what it means to be a pop singer lately.
"Being in pop music and being a woman in pop music. your perception of where you're at can get very warped. I'm starting to really settle into my mid-20s. I feel stronger now than I ever have. I am so much more equipped to do the job now, and to be this person now.
"I feel really empowered by the knowledge that I have gotten, over the years of experience that I have had in this industry."
Gretta Ray's The Big Pop Show will see her play capital cities on the East coast, plus dates in Perth and Adelaide. Tickets are on sale from Friday 26 May.
