Two Queensland police officers have been seriously injured after a stolen truck rammed their car during an incident near Toowoomba on Wednesday afternoon.

The Queensland Police Service (QPS) said the officers were attempting to intercept the truck on Goombungee Meringandan Road at Meringandan, about 20km north of Toowoomba about 1:30pm.

One of the officers was taken to St Vincent's Hospital in Toowoomba, while the other was flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane.

According to police, a short time after the truck ploughed into the first police car, it collided with another two police vehicles and came to a stop in Kleinton, near Toowoomba.

Two police officers sustained minor injuries in the latter incidents.

"An adult male and sole occupant of the vehicle [truck] was taken into custody at the scene," a police spokesperson said.

More to come.
