Connor Cruise is the son of Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman. He was adopted one month after he was born in 1995. Cruise had a unique upbringing, being homeschooled and venturing outside his father's mansion at 10.
For the most part, Cruise and his sister Isabella Jane Cruise-also adopted-have stayed out of Hollywood while growing up, and their lives don't seem as lavish as their parents.
But Connor Cruise is worth millions, and his lifestyle doesn't resemble Nicole Kidman's or Tom Cruises.
Following his illustrious parents' footsteps, Cruise debuted in the family business by landing his first film appearance at 13 in the movie Seven Pounds alongside Will Smith.
This marked the beginning of his acting career, leading him to take on more significant roles as he grew older. At 17, Cruise starred in the 2012 remake of Red Dawn with actors Chris Hemsworth and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
Beyond his acting endeavors, Cruise has also carved a name for himself as a talented DJ. Cruise spun under the name DJ C-Squared and had gigs from Las Vegas to Australia, playing at various venues.
These days, Cruise is more interested in casting his line and reeling in fish than partying in clubs. In 2018, he demonstrated his fishing skills when his team secured third place in the Rotary Club of Clearwater's Kingfish Tournament.
According to Radar Online, Connor reportedly took on a role as a deep-sea fishing deckhand for 2 Shea Charters the following year. As per a source, he could be found "gutting off a boat deck" and "working for peanuts filleting finny critters caught by tourists who have no idea he's the son of Hollywood royalty."
Cruise doesn't shy away from sharing his fishing triumphs on Instagram, where he proudly displays his catches. He has recently embarked on a new culinary adventure, creating a separate Instagram account dedicated solely to his cooking endeavors.
"Connor's done some growing up these past few months and decided he doesn't want to live his life spending his dad's money," a source shared.
Cruise's personal life extends beyond his famous lineage. He has four siblings, including his older adopted sister Isabella Jane, as well as half-sisters Suri Cruise, Sunday Rose Kidman, and Faith Margaret Kidman.
Although there were rumors of strained relationships between Connor and his mother, Nicole Kidman.
Kidnman, recalling why she adopted two children with Cruise, said, "From the minute Tom and I were married, I wanted to have babies," Kidman said in a 2007 interview with Marie Claire, as reported by USA Today. "And we lost a baby early on, so that was really very traumatic."
While speaking to Australia's Who magazine, Nicole Kidman opened up about her notoriously private family. The actress said, "I'm very private about all that. I have to protect all those relationships. I know 150 percent that I would give up my life for my children because it's what my purpose is."

While both her kids with Tom Cruise have joined Scientology like Tom, Kidman says, "They are adults. They are able to make their own decisions. They have made choices to be Scientologists, and as a mother, it's my job to love them."
She continued, "And I am an example of that tolerance, and that's what I believe - that no matter what your child does, the child has love, and the child has to know there is available love, and I'm open here."
But Kidman says the most important role of a parent-no matter the circumstances-is unconditional love, "I think that's so important because if that is taken away from a child, to sever that in any child, in any relationship, in any family - I believe it's wrong. So that's our job as a parent, to always offer unconditional love."
The Church of Scientology, known for its secretive nature and litigious reputation, has made it challenging to obtain firsthand accounts of the childhood experiences of the Cruise children within the organization.
However, there is a general belief that Connor and his sister Isabella became even more committed to the church after their parents' divorce. After the separation, when Tom Cruise became their primary guardian, Nicole Kidman reportedly returned to Australia.

It's been said that the church instructs its members to cut ties with family who choose to leave, lending credibility to a rumor reported by The Sun that Kidman was allegedly banned from attending Connor's wedding to fellow Scientologist Silvia Zanchi in 2019.
The Sun reported on why Kidnman may have missed her son's reading, with a source saying, "First, Tom would never even consider inviting Nicole to Connor's wedding because she's considered a 'suppressive person' by the church. And, second, he doesn't want her there."
The church's disconnection policy, which encourages members to sever ties with those who leave the organization, has reportedly strained relationships within the Cruise family.
