Oakland Athletics fans will be hearing a new voice on their television broadcasts going forward.
Longtime broadcaster Glen Kuiper will not be returning to commentate on A's games, his former company, NBC Sports California, announced Monday.
"Following an internal review, the decision has been made for NBC Sports California to end its relationship with Glen Kuiper, effective immediately," NBC Sports California announced. "We thank Glen for his dedication to Bay Area baseball over the years."
The move comes after a lengthy investigation into comments Kuiper made earlier in the month during a game between the A's and Royals.

On May 5, Kuiper used a racial slur on-air while discussing his visit to the Negro League Museum in Kansas City.
"We had a phenomenal day today," Kuiper said on the broadcast. "(N-word) League Museum. And Arthur Bryant's BBQ."

Kuiper apologized for the slip-up later in the game.
"A little bit earlier in the show, I said something, didn't come out quite the way I wanted it to," Kuiper said. "I just wanted to apologize if it sounded different than I meant it to be said. I just wanted to apologize for that."
He was subsequently suspended by the network as it underwent an investigation into the incident. Per The Athletic's Steve Berman, Kuiper's dismissal stems from a variety of factors, including information uncovered in that investigation.
Kuiper, 60, had been the Athletics' lead commentator for 17 years.
Radio broadcasters Johnny Doskow and Vince Controneo have filled in Kuiper's seat during his suspension. The network has yet to reveal whether that arrangement will continue.
