Content Warning: This story discusses allegations of sexual assault.

Slowthai has been removed from the Splendour In The Grass' line-up, following charges of sexual assault in the UK.

His artist profile has been removed from the festival's website and Splendour shared an updated poster on Facebook without his name on it.

The 28-year-old rapper was scheduled to perform on day one of the festival alongside Lizzo, Lewis Capaldi, Ball Park Music, 070 Shake, Cub Sport and heaps more.

Slowthai's removal from the festival's line-up comes after he faced court in the UK on two counts of rape following an alleged incident in Oxford, England in September 2021.

Splendour is yet to confirm who has been locked in to replace the UK rapper on the festival's opening day.

He was also locked in to perform a string of sideshows in Australia and New Zealand alongside his appearance at Splendour. triple j has reached out to the tour's promoter for more information.

Elsewhere, UK festivals like Reading & Leeds, Glastonbury and Parklife have also scrubbed Slowthai from their respective line-ups.

He is due to face a crown court in June and has denied the allegations on social media.
