'Ignorance' of many politicians is 'plain embarrassing'

Sky News host Cory Bernardi says sometimes the "ignorance" of Australia's politicians is just plain embarrassing.

"They rarely seem open to any ideas that contradict their current train of policy thought," he said.

"To me, that's the hallmark of a fool and I've got to say I think we've got a heck of a lot of them in politics right now."
