With the St. Louis Cardinals starting to play better baseball, the vibes around Busch Stadium have also improved.

With things starting to click, the Cardinals have started an odd but hilarious trend.

On the railing of the dugout sits a toy phone that is shaped like a cheeseburger.

Typically, veteran right-hander Adam Wainwright is the one who "operates" the phone.

The Cardinals will make predictions on what will happen during certain player's at-bats and type in their jersey numbers.

However, the origins of the phone were unknown until Friday, when Bally Sports Midwest reporter Jim Hayes caught up with rookie Alec Burleson, who revealed that Miles Mikolas had ordered him to buy the phone off of Amazon.

Burleson revealed that he had to scour the Amazon website to find the cheeseburger phone.

The rookie outfielder said that after a team flight, Mikolas told him to go to Amazon and buy the cheeseburger phone.

Burleson isn't certain why Mikolas decided that a cheeseburger phone was necessary, but that he ultimately went with it, telling Hayes that he would have to talk to the veteran right-hander in order to learn more.

The young outfielder also revealed that Mikolas has yet to reimburse him for his purchase of the phone.

However, the phone has become a symbol to rally behind for the Cardinals as they look to climb out of the early hole they dug themselves in April.

Hopefully, Mikolas will ultimately reimburse Burleson for his purchase of the phone.

Either way, the Cardinals have bonded over it and will continue to do so.
