When purchasing the product for washing your clothes, choose distilled white vinegar. It doesn't contain tannins (natural plant dyes) that can stain the fabric and it's more affordable. If you need to use apple cider vinegar, use less and dilute it with water before pouring it directly onto the clothes.

Leaving wet clothes in a basket or in the washing machine can result in a musty smell and even mold. To freshen everything up, fill the washing machine with water, add two cups of white vinegar, and run a complete wash cycle.

Run a second full cycle with the addition of laundry detergent.

This technique is highly effective for small amounts of mold and sour odors. If your problem is more severe, seek a more aggressive procedure.

Acetic acid is gentle and doesn't harm fabrics, yet it is strong enough to dissolve residue left by soaps and detergents.

Just add half a cup of vinegar to the final rinse, and you'll have brighter and shinier clothes.

Place the product in the fabric softener dispenser or add it manually at the beginning of the rinse cycle.

It is considered highly effective for whitening gray and dirty clothes, such as stained white socks or soiled kitchen towels.

To whiten heavily soiled clothes, add a cup of vinegar to a large pot of water. Heat it until it boils and add the dirty items. Let them soak overnight and then wash as usual.

This method should be used on 100% cotton fabric.

If you don't like using heavily scented fabric softeners but still want soft clothes, vinegar can help.

Simply add half a cup during the final rinse cycle.

If you prefer a light scent, add a few drops of an essential oil, such as lavender, to the vinegar bottle.

Adding just half a cup of white vinegar during the rinse cycle will help prevent lint and pet hair from sticking to your clothes.

This technique is also valid if you have washed something dark with towels, for example, which produce lint.

Fill a spray bottle with undiluted white vinegar and always keep it on hand to remove perspiration odor and stains from washable clothes.

Spray the product directly onto the fabric, on the inside of the armpits, and let it sit for at least ten minutes before putting the clothes in the washing machine.

If the fabric is stiff before washing, use a soft-bristle brush to break up the residue.

This will help eliminate residual deodorant that clings to clothes and prevent yellowing of the armpits.

Add half a cup of vinegar to the final rinse cycle, and it will remove soap and detergent residues that make black clothes appear dull.
