A desperate search is underway for a missing teenager who vanished after leaving from her high school.
Elle Manolas, 14, was last seen at 2pm on Thursday when she left South Sydney High School on O'Sullivan Avenue near Maroubra Beach.
Her family reported the teen missing when she failed to return home.
Police said there are concerns about Elle's welfare due to her age.
The Inner West Police Command are asking anyone to report sightings of the missing teenager and any information which could lead to her being found.
Elle is described as slim and tall, about 160cm with long brown hair.
She has brown eyes and is of a Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance.
The teenager has been known to hang around Lewisham, Burwood, Liverpool and Canley Vale.
Anyone with information about her whereabouts is urged to contact police.
