Trail's End

Trail's End was a popular table service restaurant at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. In December the down home eatery moved to limited hours. Now, they have closed their doors and Disney has confirmed the closure is permanent. This is disappointing because we thought Trail's End was one of the best breakfast spots on property.

When they were open Trail's End served up familiar favorites like Mickey waffles, brisket and eggs, and potato casserole at breakfast, while dinner was served in skillets consisting of smoked chicken, pulled pork, sausage, roasted potatoes, corn-on-the-cob, and green beans. It was enough food to satisfy even the hungriest in your posse. Now, there is a lack of available options for campers at Fort Wilderness.

Trail's End was the only table service restaurant open for breakfast and lunch here The closure will leave resort guests without a convenient option for a hearty and relaxing start to their day. Additionally, it leaves guests without a dinner spot that isn't a difficult to reserve (and expensive) dinner show. Given the remote location of Fort Wilderness, this will be an inconvenience for many.

Guests of the resort aren't left high and dry, though. Other delicious options here include from P & J's Southern Takeout, the Meadow Snack Bar, Crockett's Tavern Bar, or The Chuck Wagon food truck for quick service options. For those who crave something more substantial, Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort is also home to the famous Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Review.

Though the table service at Trail's End is closed for good, the location is only closed temporarily. This summer the restaurant will reopen as a marketplace concept (i.e food court style) with expanded quick service options. Disney has not announced whether the restaurant will keep the same name or reopen under a different name.
