It appears that tragedy struck The Happiest Place On Earth yesterday, as police confirmed reports that a man fell to his death from Disneyland's parking megastructure.
According to ABC7, Disneyland Guests in Southern California reported a man jumping to his death from the parking lot around 9 pm local time on Saturday, December 3. Local police confirmed that it was a man in his 50s, and the Orange County coroner's office was responding to the scene.

The sudden event reportedly sparked a tram shut down, leaving people to walk back to their cars as staff and authorities tended to the situation. At this time, it is unclear who this man was, and why he jumped, and it is being treated as an act of apparent suicide.
Disneyland's original parking lot was completely ground-level but was destroyed to make room for Disney California Adventure Park. Three multi-level parking garages were constructed to take its place, identified as the Mickey & Friends Parking Structure, the Pixar Pals Parking Structure, and the Toy Story Parking Area. The man reportedly fell from the Mickey & Friends parking structure.

The jump was a tragic end to a night that saw the first of the season's many Candlelight Processional performances. Returning Disney CEO Bob Iger and Disney Parks Chairman Josh D'Amaro were in attendance. As of this article's publication, Disney has not released a statement regarding the incident.
