Liverpool have produced some truly world-class players over the years from Steven Gerrard to Trent Alexander-Arnold, but not every youngster makes it to the top.
Despite a flourishing career at youth level, several Liverpool wonderkids from years gone by have ended up fading into obscurity after they didn't make it at the top level.
We've compiled a list of nine Liverpool wonderkids from back in the day that you will have forgotten about and checked out where they are today.
There were high hopes around the Spanish playmaker after he arrived at Liverpool as a teenager from Barcelona in 2007. Pacheco himself has even admitted that he felt the pressure as a youngster at the time.
"I felt some pressure but because I wasn't the only one coming from Spain, we shared the pressure," he told the ECHO. "It was not only for me. We accepted this and we grew up."
The diminutive playmaker made 17 first-team appearances before finally leaving the club in 2013. He has primarily spent his days playing in Spain, but now turns out for Polish club Gornik Zabrze aged 32. How time flies.
The Mancunian-born striker was hot property back in the day, but a series of injuries and other problems hampered him from reaching his full potential.
"There was a stage in football where I was no longer happy coming into training, the games on a Saturday and in midweek weren't providing a positive impact on my life due to the lack of me playing," he told Football365 in 2018.
"It was a big wake-up call for me when I left Liverpool for Blackpool. At Liverpool we had 20 staff members for the first team alone and even in the Under-21s you had 10 plus.
"At Blackpool you have to wash your own kit, there's one physio to a squad of 30 players, the facilities there weren't the same but that's life, that's not making excuses."
After struggling to establish himself anywhere after leaving Liverpool, Eccleston started to plan for life outside of football. Aged 24, he set up his own e-commerce business which makes women's activewear.
The Welsh youngster became Liverpool's youngest-ever goalscorer when he hit the back of the net against Leeds United in 2016, aged just 17 years, 45 days.
It wasn't then long until he was starring for his country and the hype only grew when he scored on his Wales debut with a 25-yard strike in a 1-0 win against Austria. The hype had reached boiling point by this stage.
After a dazzling start, Woodburn was then sent out on a series of loan spells where he struggled to establish himself. Liverpool let him go in 2022 upon his contract expiring and he now plays in the Championship for Preston North End.
Once dubbed 'the new Deco', Teixeira had every Liverpool fan brimming with expectation. The club had spent £830,000 to purchase him as a teenager from Sporting CP and he impressed in their youth ranks.
After a series of loan spells with Brentford and Brighton, Liverpool let him go four years after signing him to Porto. These days he is playing out in China for Shanghai Shenhua.
Plenty of young footballers find it hard to cope when they are let go by their clubs, but for Adam Morgan, the blow was even more severe when his childhood team Liverpool told him he had no future at Anfield.

Born in Mendoza, Argentina, Bruna had some football upbringing to say the least. The midfielder spent five years with the Real Madrid academy before joining Liverpool's youth side in 2007.
Once called the 'Madrid Messi', plenty of hype surrounded him as a teenager. "For me, [moving to Liverpool and adjusting to life on Merseyside] was a big shock and a big change," he told the ECHO.
"I was only 16 and I came into a new country with a new culture, a new style of football and a new language and I found it really hard to settle down and adapt to everything."
Bruna spent three years with Liverpool but never made a first-team appearance. He did stick around in England after leaving though and had stints with Blackpool, Tranmere Rovers and Accrington Stanley.
Nowadays he is playing semi-professional football for Northan Irish side Dungannon Swifts. It's fair to say that he's still got those tekkers from his Madrid days.
Roy Hodgson handed Amoo his solitary first-team appearance for Liverpool back in 2010 in a Europa League qualifying round. The winger then spent the following two season's out on loan before being let go in 2012.
Since leaving, Amoo has crafted out a solid career for himself in the EFL, making over 400 appearances and scoring 49 goals. He has most recently played for Crewe Alexandra in League Two.
The dynamic midfielder made eight first-team appearances under Jurgen Klopp but didn't quite make it at the top level. After two short loan spells with Sunderland and Rangers, he eventually joined Reading where he still plays today.
Groin and knee injuries have often got in the way of the midfielder from reaching his full potential. At his best, he is one of the best technical dribblers in the Championship, but he has only featured in eight matches this season.
Liverpool had to fight off plenty of competition to secure Ojo's signature as a teenager. Signed for an undisclosed fee which was believed to be in the region of £2million, the world was watching Ojo from the off.
He made a total of 13 first-team appearances, before being sent out on seven separate loan spells. These days he has settled down in Cardiff and is also the man believed to be behind the masked rapper alias Dide.
