A slightly sweet, spicy, and delicious sautéed ground Portuguese Chourico Sandwich recipe that uses beer, TABASCO® Sauce, and tomato paste.
When I was a kid, I always looked forward to holidays or feasts when my Vavo would make her delicious Portuguese Chourico sandwiches.
They were so scrumptious and were loved by everyone.
I grew up in Fall River, MA and lived in the same building as my Vavo (Portuguese for grandmother) and chourico (Portuguese sausage) was and still is a very prevalent food. My Vavo and mother often cooked with it and added it to soups, baked casseroles, and more.
I love this Chourico Sandwich recipe because it not only tastes so good, but it also reminds me of my Father.
One of my Father's favorite ways to enjoy his chourico was with TABASCO® Sauce. In fact, he added TABASCO® Sauce to just about ALL his meals to enhance the flavors of them. Between that and his favorite Portuguese Olive Oil, my Mom always had to have these two condiments well-stocked for him.
