I haven't tested this recipe with any substitutions, but marinades are usually pretty forgiving. If you want it less sweet, reduce the brown sugar a bit. If you want it more spicy, add some more gochujang or some Korean chili pepper threads.

Store these in an air-tight container in the fridge for 2-3 days.

Personally, while you can get a decent recent in the microwave with these, I'd actually recommend tossing them back on the grill or heating in a pan on the stovetop with a little oil. You'll be able to better control the final result without overcooking.

I love banchan, which are basically small-plate appetizers, and this Cucumber Kimchi would be perfect with this dish. So would some Japchae, which is a Korean noodle dish featuring glass noodles, vegetables, and protein like chicken, pork, or shrimp, mixed with a sweet sauce.

Another great one would be these Spicy Korean Rice Cakes.

Try our Traeger Beef Short Ribs with gravy too!

Galbi is a delicious Korean BBQ dish made with marinated short ribs that is grilled perfectly, offering a unique blend of sweet, savory, and smoky flavors.

We love serving some Bachan Japanese BBQ Sauce with this dish, but it is just fine all on its own too!
