Warning! Spoilers ahead for Young Sheldon season 6, episode 20. Young Sheldon's original villain is about to further jeopardize Missy's future. After ignoring the only Cooper daughter for so long, The Big Bang Theory spin-off is finally making amends by giving the character her own narratives. While they are compelling, Missy's Young Sheldon season 6 storylines are far from the show's usual lighthearted offerings. On the heels of her daring road trip with Paige, it seemed for a while that she was on her best behavior. However, seeing how her latest storyline in Young Sheldon season 6, episode 20, "German For Beginners and Crazy Old Man With A Bat," has played out, it doesn't appear to be the case.
Each member of the Cooper family has grown in prominence over the years. Young Sheldon has been giving them their respective story arcs, which makes for a more dynamic show. Taking a more family series format rather than a straight-up sitcom like its parent series, it's arguably better in quality than The Big Bang Theory. As a comedy, however, there hadn't been a clear villain in Young Sheldon - until Pastor Jeff forced Mary out of church on the heels of Georgie and Mandy's pregnancy.

Mary's religious devotion has caused the family many problems in Young Sheldon. She prioritized her faith over her family, which often created conflict between her and George. After separating herself from the congregation, however, Mary's relationship with her clan has become so much better. Despite her more recent issues with her husband, there was a brief period when all was well between them. His return in Young Sheldon season 6, episode 10 threatens the Coopers' peace after Missy becomes friends with Pastor Jeff's niece, Tonya, who is clearly a bad influence on her.
Following Missy's runaway attempt, adult Sheldon's narration did confirm that his sister has officially entered his rebellious phase. This means that the only Cooper daughter's antics are about to get worse. However, seeing her teaming up with Pastor Jeff was totally unexpected. In their brief moment of knowing each other, Tonya has already invited Missy to go drink and smoke. Sheldon's twin is already daring as it is, but being with someone who is gutsier in a negative way could be the reason why she becomes the least successful Cooper sibling in The Big Bang Theory.

More tragedy is coming the Coopers' way, unfortunately. Per The Big Bang Theory, George's death is near, and unless its prequel totally breaks continuity, there's no way around it. This will inevitably further jeopardize Missy's fate. While Mary has always favored Sheldon, his twin sister has a special bond with George. Because of this, she will be the most affected among the siblings when he inevitably dies. It's unclear when the Cooper patriarch's death will go down, but it's slowly inching near. Hopefully, however, CBS leans more heavily on their pairing in the remainder of Young Sheldon's confirmed run.
