Do you enjoy the art of grilling? We sure do! Grilling was once a cooking style that I feared because I had some unpleasant experiences with an old grill. Flares outs always intimidated me until I learned how to properly and safely grill.

Now, grilling is something that both Jared and I enjoy. We grill everything from pizza to vegetables and meats like chicken. However, it took us a while to master moist, flavorful grilled chicken cutlets that were not dry, rubbery, or overcooked.

Today, we are going to share a few tips to help you grill your tastiest batch of chicken to add to your next salad.

The first tip we have for grilling chicken is to have your supplies and grill prepared beforehand.

These days, white meat chicken cutlets can be very large and thick. We like to slice our portions into halves lengthwise. Sometimes, if they are really thick, we do this 3 times per portion. This allows for a faster cook time as well.

A thin coating of olive oil brushed over the cutlets is all you need to keep the chicken moist.

No one wants a bland chicken breast. We love using McCormick Grill Mates Roasted Garlic and Herb Seasoning. This shaker bottle is available both in-store at Walmart or via Walmart Online Grocery Pickup: https://bit.ly/WalmartGrillMates

McCormick Grill Mates Roasted Garlic and Herb Seasoning provides bold seasoning which awakens the taste buds. I love how the little bits of garlic toast up on the grill. It is really an ideal flavor for our family because we love all things garlic. Check out their other flavors at https://bit.ly/WalmartGrillMates

If you are using a gas grill, you will want to set the temperature to medium high, and should be 165°F. If you are using a charcoal grill you will want it medium-low. I suggest putting the chicken not over direct flames unless it is a skin-on chicken with a bone.

Chicken requires an internal temperature of 165°F for safe consumption. Cooking time will vary dependent on the size of your chicken cutlets. 2-3 minutes per side for thinner chicken cutlets, and 5-7 for thicker chicken pieces.

Once your chicken is done being grilled, allow the meat to rest. This will help it retain its juices and finish cooking. You never want to cut into chicken before it rests or it will be very dry!

We love eating salads in the summer so we often mass-batch cook our chicken and keep it in airtight containers in the fridge. We slice each piece vertically and place it over fresh greens and veggies.

McCormick Grill Mates Roasted Garlic and Herb Seasoning pairs well with any dressing when used on white meat chicken. It doesn't overpower anything from Caesar dressing to honey mustard.

Find McCormick Grill Mates Roasted Garlic and Herb Seasoning at Walmart in-store and online using Walmart Online Grocery Pickup.
