One former Chelsea coach is hoping to reunite with a player he coached whilst at the club in recent years.

Michael Beale is now the manager of Rangers in the Scottish Premier League and he is looking for reinforcements this summer.

According to a report today from The Herald Scotland, Beale is targeting a deal for Chelsea defender Dujon Sterling ahead of the new campaign.

Former Chelsea coach Beale now hopes to be reunited with Sterling as the 23-year-old considers his options after a successful loan spell in the Championship with Stoke City.

Sterling has a big decision to make, and staying at Chelsea looks very unlikely considering The Blues recently signed right back Malo Gusto to arrive this summer, and of course, they have Reece James who also occupies that position.

Sterling is quite versatile though, and can also play centre back or as a winger, but his pathway at Chelsea still look pretty blocked right now.
