There are few moments sadder for an animal lover than the moment you realize that one of your beloved pets is lost. In the best case scenario, the furry friend in question will come back to you after giving you one of the most stressful experiences of your life. And the worst case scenario is so sad, we don't even want to talk about it!
But that's why these hikers on TikTok are our new heroes. These girls went hiking and were able to rescue a lost cat along the way, sharing their adventure in a video on @torytalkstrails.

The OP was hiking when she thought she heard a "weird bird" that actually turned out to be a cat. The cat, who she said was "super friendly," followed them for a half a mile until they got to an area with cell service, where they could call the ranger to find out what to do with the cat.
"The ranger said someone had been calling about a lost cat for four days, so we hiked back up to a spot where the trail crossed the road and waited for the ranger to come pick him up," she said. "Hannah and I were sad to say goodbye, but we were glad to know the cat would be reunited with his family."
And there's truly no doubt that the cat's family appreciated them so much for going out of their way to reunite them with their pet!
There are still good people in the world, and these hikers are two of them.
