Ever since Hall of Fame defensive back Deion Sanders took over as the head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes this offseason, he's been making some huge changes with the team in hopes of making them more competitive next season and in the future. But it doesn't sound like ESPN is buying the hype just yet.

This offseason, Deion Sanders has totally revamped the Colorado roster, pushing nearly half of his team into the NCAA transfer portal and taking in a bunch of other incoming transfer players to replace them. But while Colorado will almost certainly be more talented next season than last season - after all, they couldn't get much worse - one ESPN analyst claims fans should "pump the brakes" on the upcoming Buffaloes season.

"Taking away the 2020 season for obvious reasons, Colorado's second-best record in the Pac-12 since joining the conference was 3-6 (twice). Let's pump the brakes and watch an actual game before expecting someone who has never coached at the FBS level try to win games against several proven commodities," analyst Kyle Bonagura wrote for ESPN.

While the excitement is understandable, it's certainly fair to take more of a wait-and-see approach to Sanders' stint with Colorado, especially given his lack of experience and the huge roster turnover.
