When you're an astronaut, you're not just signing up to get strapped to massive explosives and shot into outer space, you're also signing up for the lifetime of public relations, guest appearances, and school visits that follow. It doesn't matter what else you do in your life-you're an astronaut. You've been in outer-freaking-space. So it stands to reason that people are going to want your opinions on all things space-related-and that includes UFOs.

In this video British astronaut Tim Peake explains that although he can't be sure what is behind the UFO phenomenon, he's willing to entertain a variety of theories.
"Could it be something that has been developed in a classified program?" he asks on this talk show. He also speculates that the crafts could be unmanned drones of some sort, which would explain their "extraordinary capabilities."
Peake is even willing to entertain the idea that these UFOs might even be time travelers from the distant future, capable of seemingly impossible feats of technological advancement.
He also sheepishly admits that he once thought he saw a UFO on a flight-though it turned out it was nothing more than escaped droplets of water going brightly as they floated across one of their viewing portals.
Once I met astronaut Wendy Lawrence, who was asked about alien life, and her response was so practiced, you could tells he'd been asked many times. She said that humans had only explored a tiny bit beyond our own planet, and the universe was very, very vast.
