A? tornado briefly touched down in Southern California Thursday, producing minor damage.
According to the National Weather Service, the tornado occurred in the Carson-Compton area between downtown Los Angeles and Long Beach around 8:45 a.m. PDT.
H?oles were ripped in the roofs of at least two warehouses, and some of the debris landed on vehicles parked nearby, NBC Los Angeles reported.
Based on the damage, the NWS rated the tornado EF0 with peak winds estimated at 75 mph.
T?here were no reports of injuries.
A v?ideo posted on social media from Compton, California, showed a power flash, a flash usually seen when power lines or electrical equipment is damaged that is often seen in tornadoes.
T?his tornado happened just 10 miles away from where a March 22 EF1 tornado injured one and damaged 17 structures.
T?his was the 47th tornado in L.A. County in just over 72 years, according to NOAA's Storm Events Database. Only four of those previously occurred in May, the last of which happened on May 30, 1984.
