The Royal Family appeared ready to "break the tension" during a Coronation rehearsal earlier this week, according to an expert.

Members of the Royal Family gathered at Westminster Abbey on Wednesday morning for a last-minute Coronation rehearsal to ensure the proceedings go without a hitch.

And while the ceremony is being ironed out and perfected, it appears the royals themselves are prepared to make sure the historic weekend passes off without any hiccups, leading body language expert Judi James belives.

Queen Camilla seemed to have "overcome her nerves", Princess Charlotte appeared "confident" and "experienced", and Prince George, alongside his father, Prince William, as heirs to the throne, hit a "serious note" as he entered the Abbey.

The Princess of Wales in particular appeared determined to make sure the Coronation weekend is without any drama, and Judi James believes Kate is in no mood to let an awkwardness get in the way, the Mirror reports.

Judi James said: "'I don't want any drama' is a well-used line in reality TV and always comes before an event that is about to kick off.

"The royals have their own dramas recently but it looks clear from their body language at these coronation rehearsals that they are planning to ensure everything will go hitch-free.

"Kate looks very much like the ice and tension-breaker here, smiling and chatting to some of the more serious-looking staff."

The Princess appeared to want a drama-free weekend following the latest fallout within the Royal Family after the release of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Netflix docu-series and the Duke's bombshell memoir Spare.

Prince Harry will attend the ceremony without his wife Meghan who is to remain in California with the couple's two children - Prince Archie, who will be celebrating his fourth birthday on the same day as the Coronation, and Princess Lilibet, aged one.

Behavioural expert Judi also noticed how Queen Camilla appeared to overcome her nerves and anxiousness as she arrived to the rehearsal at Westminster Abbey with her two grandsons - and two of her four Pages of Honour in the ceremony.

Judi said: "Camilla is normally the royal exhibiting the most obvious signals of anxiety and nerves but her relaxed smile and her royal wave from the car suggests she has risen above those previous feelings of tension and is prepping to enjoy the day.

"The secret to her newly-found confidence might be the young boys in the car with her. This will be a first royal outing for some of her grandsons and their excited facial expressions suggest they are seeing it as fun rather than fearful."

Expert Judi also noted how George, Charlotte and Louis all seem ready for the event, putting it down to plenty of experience as the children grow up with many engagements.

Judi said: "William, George, Charlotte and Louis all seem to be flying in a very tight formation here, that is probably driven by levels of reliability, confidence and experience.

"Louis walks in first to keep his confidence and enjoyment levels high but close behind is the formidable-looking double act of William and George to keep a loving, watchful eye on the most playful member of the family."

Meanwhile, as heirs to the throne, William and George hit a serious note as they entered the Abbey for the last-minute rehearsals on Wednesday.

Judi said: "William and George are dressed identically again here and their body language looks mirrored, which does create a serious note for them."

Expert Judi continued: "At the next coronation it will be George's turn to support his father and the one after that will see George himself in the lead role, making them both extra-aware of their destiny as they take a glimpse into their inevitable future.

"Charlotte is walking behind her dad and her brothers and this seems to show how much her confidence has grown. At the Jubilee, she was the one checking out the choreography and policing her brothers and the way she is sucking in her lips here suggests she will be taking that role very seriously again on Saturday."

King Charles also appeared in good spirits as he arrived at Westminster Abbey, smiling and laughing at those whom he greeted outside.

With just three days to go until the historic Coronation, the Royal Family appear ready to ensure the weekend passes without a hitch, whilst also remembering to enjoy the momentous occasion for themselves.
