Both David Letterman and Howard Stern have enjoyed fantastic careers, and that is ongoing at this point. Despite their massive success, the two have evolved over time, and that is especially true for Howard Stern - who hosted a completely different type of show years back.

In the following, we're going to take a look at what sparked the change for Howard Stern, and he was able to admit to his wrongs, particularly his feeling about others, including David Letterman. Stern was honest about his past and the way he viewed Letterman - it made for an interesting interview moment when the subject was brought up between the two.

We'll also take a look at Dave's current status these days, and how he evolved in his own right since leaving the Late Show behind.

David Letterman grew to huge stardom thanks to the Late Show, and he motivated so many on his path to the top of the late night scene. The likes of Jimmy Kimmel and Drew Barry have credited Letterman for serving as a huge form of motivation throughout their careers.

However, he did rub others the wrong way, and that included Richard Simmons, who was a regular on the show for years. Simmons took exception to the fact that Letterman appeared to be different off-camera.

Simmons revealed, "You do the show with him, and when they go to commercial, they remove you. You're just not allowed to talk to him. Or if you are, he's very standoffish."

He continues, "The last time I was on, we went to commercial and I was like, 'I'd love to meet your wife!' He was like, 'You never will.' And then I was like, 'And see your son!' And he was like, 'You'll never see him.' And then we come back from the commercial and he's all friendly with me again. You think I'm kidding, but I'm not making this up."

As for Howard Stern, well, he admitted that his ego was a major reason for his feelings towards Letterman.

Appearing alongside David Letterman in My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, Howard Stern was completely honest about his past. During the interview, Stern got honest about his past feelings towards Dave, and why he held anger against him.

"I was just a young man full of rage. And I was angry, I was angry with you, that you were on television and that you had an audience. There was no reason to it, I could not love anyone, I could not respect anyone."

During the deep interview, Stern would go on to admit that he changed his ways thanks to psychotherapy, and a lot of soul-searching.

Stern received lots of positivity from the fans for putting his guard down and admitting to his mistakes.

One fan writes, "Congratulations Howard. Being able to see yourself is one of the most beautiful and life inspiring events we can go through. Of course there is much pain involved in the process."

Another fan praised Stern for his ability to evolve, "It's amazing to me that people expect Stern and his show to be the same as it was in the 90's, and say 'he's now everything he once stood against', well duh, the guy is in his 60's and has evolved and radio has evolved, listen to what he's saying in this clip."

The moment clearly shows how Stern has evolved, and it also shows that the host David Letterman has also done so compared to his past.

Fans have noticed a clear change in David Letterman, particularly on Netflix's My Next Guest Needs No Introduction. Nowadays, the host is looking at the deeper side of interviews. During his days on the Late Show, it was all about getting a laugh and that featured lots of sarcasm.

However, he's changed in the recent times, and that was true in many interviews, particularly with Cardi B as he found out about her deeper side, unlike the one most fan are accustomed to.

Letterman was also sympathetic towards Billie Eilish after he found about her twitch due to Tourette's Syndrome. Letterman asked his guest if she wanted to take a break, or if they could discuss the sensitive topic. Eilish was more than willing to talk about it.

"I really love answering questions about it because it's very, very interesting, and I am incredibly confused by it," Eilish said. "I don't get it."

She continued, "What's funny is so many people have it that you would never know," Eilish said. "A couple artists came forward and said, 'I've actually always had Tourette's,' and I'm not gonna out them because they don't wanna talk about it, but that was actually really interesting to me."

Clearly, Letterman has evolved through the years.
