A BUILDING once home to a city centre opticians has been sold.
Spectrum Optica's former building, based on St Swithin's Street, was empty after the opticians relocated on Tuesday, July 26.
The move followed a merger with Stephen John Eyecare, based at 2 Charles Street.
The building was listed for sale on the Fisher German website for £650,000.
The property is a four-storey building of traditional brick construction under a pitched slate roof with a retail unit on the ground floor and two flats above.

The property also features a storeroom, two consultation rooms, a basement, a kitchen and a first-floor bathroom.
The upper floors consist of two separate, two-bedroom self-contained flats.
It is not currently known what the plans are for the building.
