Every journalist wants a scoop, but did 60 Minutes anchor Mike Wallace go too far in his pursuit for a good story? The journalist is now getting a lot of backlash for a resurfaced interview he did with Barbra Streisand in 1991. Which pushed the singer so hard that she broke down in tears.
In the video from @popniche, Wallace encouraged Streisand to talk about her relationships with her parents.

Streisand was visibly unnerved when talking about her stepfather Louis Kind. In a voiceover of the clip, Wallace explained that Kind was the kind of parent who told Streisand that she "couldn't have ice cream because she was too ugly."
"What made him such a creep?" the reporter asked in the interview.
"Why do you do that? You don't believe me, like I have to convince you of this or what?" Streisand answered, agitated. "The man never talked to me."
"Why?" Wallace probed.
"At the time, when I was a child, I just thought I was awful. I must be so awful, I remember he -," she started, getting emotional. "This is awful to say..."
The singer tried to tell her story, but started crying so hard that they had to stop filming and resume when she collected herself. "He was a man who couldn't give affection," she later said.
Later in the interview, Wallace really pushed Streisand beyond her limits when he told her something unkind that her mother said.
"You like this, that 40 million people have to see do this?" Streisand said, angry that he was making her emotional.
To which Wallace told her that he "had to" for the interview's sake.
The comments section was furious on Streisand's behalf. "Absolutely awful of him to deliberately hurt her. She handled it remarkably well," wrote one person. "His behavior would absolutely not be acceptable today and it shouldn't have been back then!! Awful!! Poor Barbra," someone else agreed. "His behavior this whole interview was mean. I can't believe she stayed," another person chimed in. "What a sick, twisted interview!!" one commenter exclaimed.
Yep, we'd have to agree.
