Three years ago, Henry Ruggs was the 12th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Now, he's expected to enter a plea that could land him in prison for up to a decade.
Per the Las Vegas Review-Journal, "Former Raiders player Henry Ruggs is expected to plead guilty in connection with a DUI crash that left a 23-year-old woman dead in Las Vegas, his lawyers said."
The NFL world reacted to the Ruggs news on Tuesday.
"Henry Ruggs will plead guilty to DUI resulting in death, vehicular manslaughter," ProFootballTalk reported.
"Henry Ruggs is pleading guilty and has accepted a plea deal. His [charges] will have a maximum sentence of 3 to 10 years," a Raiders fan shared.
"Henry Ruggs career is fr over," a user cried.
"Henry Ruggs only getting 3-10 years is wild," another pointed out.
"A lady lost her life. Burned to death. Henry Ruggs gets 3-10 and probably gets out earlier with timed served. Unbelievable. He got off way too easy."
Ruggs is scheduled to appear in front of a district judge on May 10 to formally make his plea.
