Star Wars Jedi: Survivor offers a large list of new additions from the first game including customizing facial hair, the ability to fast travel, and, moving Cal's plants off the ship and into the ground, gardening. New players will not start with a garden, but by the time they first visit the planet Koboh and get to Pyloon's Saloon, a small garden plot will open up on the roof of the saloon.

There are tons of seeds scattered throughout the galaxy to collect, and it's in their garden on Koboh where players will get to grow those seeds into mature plants that also give more seeds in turn. However, expanding the garden is no easy feat in the game and requires players to recruit a gardener to come live on Koboh. This guide will tell you everything you need to know to grab the gardener and expand your garden in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
The garden on top of the saloon on Koboh starts out with lots of space but a tiny little plot of land to plant on. By using BD-1's help, players will guide Cal Kestis to planting the various seeds collected throughout his Jedi travels and adventures. Each green glowing plant gives a seed when cut down with a lightsaber, and unlike the limited collection from Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Cal can collect tons of different types of plants in the sequel. Also, once the garden is completely unlocked with fully grown plants, special options become available that are only through maxing out one's garden. Recruiting the first gardener is no easy task, though, and it will require players to put in a good amount of hours to get there.

Unlike lots of other side missions and collectibles, like chasing down bounty hunters for instance, recruiting the gardener to lend their services to Koboh and the saloon has no special map indication. So players will have to get lucky and track down them down the old-fashioned way. The gardener first available is located on the planet Jedha, but players won't be able to access the area until their second trip via the main mission progression.
In other words, it's not until the mission "Reach Pilgrims Sanctuary" is available that players can access Blustery Mesa, the area where the gardener is on Jedha. If you want a quicker shortcut when the mission becomes available after the first mission-lead visit to Jedha, run out the back of Cere's Jedi base and unlock the mediation point for Arid Flats, which can be seen in the distance. From the Arid Flats mediation point, you'll have a head-start for fast traveling when mission time comes.
Once players have gone through collecting the "Research on Tanalorr" quest-line and gone back to Eno Cordova in what is their second official trip to Jedha, the gardener can finally be recruited. Head back to the Arid Flats meditation point (fast travel if you've already been there) and turn left. Hug the cliffs and head to the right at the first chance. Advance along by climbing and fighting a few enemies until getting to that small building at the top of the cliffs. This time, the door will open with a Force Push and players can advance freely.
Keep climbing up for a while until you see a split in the path, with the main path going up and left and a more shadowy path heading right. The path to the right goes to The Crypt of Uhrma, but you want to take the path to the left. Keep climbing until reaching a small room with plants everywhere. This is the garden of Pili Walde, who is a gardener stuck in a barren land. Use Cal to have a conversation with Pili, and he will invite them to come to Koboh and ultimately end up as Cal's personal gardener. Once this is done, return to the garden on Koboh and Pili will be tending the garden, and they will give Cal upgrades and bigger plots to expand as more seeds and plants arrive.
