'Troubling': Peter Dutton wants to bring back program that hasn't been 'abolished'

Treasurer Jim Chalmers says it is "troubling" Opposition leader Peter Dutton wants to bring back the Work for the Dole program despite it still being in operation.

"There are people on the Work for the Dole program right now," Mr Chalmers said.

"It beggars belief frankly that his one big contribution to this whole conversation is to bring back a program that hasn't been abolished."
