The race for the United State Senate seat being vacated by retiring incumbent Republican Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania could determine partisan control of the upper congressional chamber in the November midterm elections, which are now only 57 days away.

Democrat John Fetterman, the Keystone State's lieutenant governor, is hoping to defeat Republican Mehmet Oz, a retired heart surgeon who was endorsed by former President Donald Trump.

The two campaigns have been trading personal barbs for months. But on Monday, Fetterman released a new ad striking right at the heart of Doctor Oz's claim to fame - his career as a talk show doctor.

"Too bad there's no miracle cure for being a total fraud," Fetterman tweeted along with the fifty-four-second spot that showcases Oz as "the TV doctor who knows how to sell America on what he prescribes," which Fetterman alleges includes unproven "miracle cures" for personal ailments.

The video begins with footage of Oz declaring that "I realized pretty early on that medicine was run by money."

The opening narration states that Oz's "empire and wealth have flourished." It then rolls through a series of clips of Oz marketing various products to his audience:

I've got the number one miracle in a bottle. I've got a brand new miracle. This thing is lightning in a bottle. How much would you pay for a pill that takes your body back ten years?

Garcinia Cambogia. Forskolin. Fairy dust for your belly. It's the holy grail of cancer prevention. Crystal sonic therapy. Raspberry ketone. Yacón syrup. There's a revolutionary cure for pain that few doctors know about. Pulsed magnetic therapy. Green coffee beans. Exorcisms. You want to look younger, feel more energized, and boost your brain power? Bearberry extract. Sea buckthorn. You can do it all with one miracle pill.

The ad concludes with a replay of Oz saying that he "realized pretty early on that medicine was run by money."
