EastEnders' fans were moved by the soap's touching tribute to the Queen this evening (Monday, September 12) following her devastating death last week. In a touching moment at the very beginning of today's episode, pub landlady Linda Carter was seen standing next to a smiling picture of Her Majesty as they spoke about her sad passing.
Linda (Kellie Bright), Denise Fox (Diane Parish), and Kathy Beale (Gillian Wright) gathered in the Queen Vic pub to discuss the Queen's reign and how she will be deeply missed. The trio reminisced the Queen's many years of dedicated service for the country, with Denise saying: "She's been there our whole lives - it's like she's everything I've ever know."
While Kathy Beale said: "God bless her." Linda then went on to say: "We've all lost our nan. She's dedicated her entire life to serving us."

Many viewers couldn't were touched by the emotional scenes as one person on social media said: "Wow the first minute of #Eastenders was beautifully written: "Stunning tribute to Her Majesty The Queen", whilst another added: "That was a really touching tribute to The Queen on #EastEnders."
A third viewer added: "Nice tribute to #QueenElizabeth at the start of today's EastEnders." Another fan added: "its like we lost our nan; can we just say well done to the writers of #eastenders this scene between linda, kathy and denise is the most beautiful tribute to the queen. they always deal with things like this in the most incredible way."
