At least one person has been killed and four others injured in an attack on a border crossing point in the town of Logachiovka in Russia's Belgorod province on the Ukrainian border on Monday.
The governor of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, has mourned the death of an 80-year-old Ukrainian citizen, as he said in a message broadcast via his Telegram account.
Gladkov has indicated that three of the wounded are Ukrainian citizens, while one is Russian. The attack has also caused damage to several buildings and vehicles, as well as to the power supply network.
The province of Belgorod, where a terror alert level orange has been declared since April 11, has registered several attacks since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Flights to Belgorod and ten other cities in southern Russia are still suspended due to the war in Ukraine.
