Derby's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

. A38, from 8pm September 5 to 6am October 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 northbound and southbound, Toyota roundabout to Little Eaton, Lane and slip road closures due to maintenance works, diversion via National Highways and local authority network.

And a further four closures will begin over the next seven days:

. A38, from 8pm September 16 to 6am September 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 northbound and southbound, Toyota roundabout to Little Eaton, carriageway closure due to maintenance works, diversion via national Highways and local authority network.

. A52, from 8pm September 16 to 5am September 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A52 westbound, Spondon to A5111 Raynesway, slip road closure due to maintenance works.

. A5111, from 8pm September 19 to 6am September 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A5111 northbound and southbound, Alvaston to Chaddesden, slip road and lane closures due to maintenance works, diversion via National Highways network.

. A516, from 8pm September 23 to 5am September 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A516 southbound, Mickleover, Lane closure due to maintenance works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
