In May 2022, the average UK house price was £283,000, since then it has increased to £302,000. So what does £300,000 get you when trying to buy property in the county?

There are a number of towns across the county which currently have properties for sale for £300,000, close to the national average. We put together five properties listed on Zoopla, from towns in Bedfordshire to highlight what you can get for the average national price.

We've looked at Bedford, Luton, Dunstable, Haynes and Wixams. These are just a selection of the homes available to buy right now.

This three-bedroom, one-bathroom semi-detached property, situated on Voyce Way in Bedford is an ideal family home. The modern house features one large double bedroom and two single bedrooms, along with a spacious living room area and recently modernised open-plan kitchen/diner,

A garage which can be easily converted also features with the property. The back of the house leads onto a patio area and large lawn back garden area.

In Luton, £300,000 can get you this luxurious two-bedroom apartment in the Kimpton Road area. The flat is only three years old and offers an open planned living space with a modern kitchen and spacious living room.

The property also features two double bedrooms, the master bedroom has an ensuite and a second bathroom is accessible via the hallway. The property also comes with a small balcony area.

For the same price in Dunstable, you can find a modern terraced house on Leyland Road. The house in a popular area of North Dunstable features two double bedrooms, a family bathroom and a bright open living room area. There is also a kitchen/dining area leading onto a wooden patio and relatively large grass garden.

The property also includes a garage and off road parking as is situated close to parks and schools.
