The Block contestants Tom and Sarah-Jane have been kicking goals so far this season, and scored a win for their guest bedroom and ensuite on Sunday.
And now judge Darren Palmer has revealed the married couple from Melbourne are his personal favourites to take out the competition on auction day.
The 44-year-old interior designer made the prediction during an appearance on The Block's official podcast last week.
Sarah-Jane and Tom scored 30 points on Sunday, taking home the win for their guest bedroom and ensuite with the help of their bonus gnome.
Speaking to host Shelley Craft, Darren praised the pair for their consistently strong designs and finishes throughout the competition.
Describing their rooms as 'great' so far this season, Darren added confidently: 'They really are front-runners in this competition, as far as I'm concerned.'
He also admitted he was surprised they had not had a win until the latest reveals.
'I think they have a really cohesive vision for their house,' Darren said, adding that was an important point with buyers on auction day.
Elsewhere in the interview, Darren revealed that he thought the judges were too hard on the contestants sometimes.
He said there had been times he wished he'd been 'kinder' with his feedback after watching the episodes go to air.
Meanwhile, Darren also said the 2022 season of the long-running Channel Nine renovation show was 'the best yet'.
His interview with the program's official podcast comes after Sunday's reveals.
All three judges were impressed with Tom and Sarah-Jane's guest bedroom.
'I have loved everything that Tom and Sarah-Jane have done so far, but not as much as this,' Darren said, comparing their style to a Ralph Lauren catalogue.
Notoriously tough judge Shaynna Blaze also offered high praise for the couple, saying they could make a career out of their interior styling.
'I adore what they do, and having that sense of joy when you see it. I don't say this often, but this should be their career after this,' she remarked.
