At least three people have been killed in Russia by super typhoon 'Hinnamnor' after it hit the easternmost part of Russian territory, Primorye, last week.
"The typhoon passed quickly, but caused a lot of damage. Unfortunately, three people died in our country," the governor of the region, Oleg Kozhemyako, has announced.
A man was found drowned in a car and two women were swept away by a stream in three different parts of the region, the governor told Vladivostok FM, reported by Interfax.
As a result of the disaster, 13 localities remain isolated. Other regions are expected to provide emergency and rescue services to deal with the damage.
The governor has asked the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry, headed by Alexander Kurenkov, to declare a federal state of emergency due to the consequences of the typhoon.
