The ground beef was shipped between July 2 and 21.

Customers who got HelloFresh deliveries in July have been urged to throw out any ground beef they still have in the freezer over a risk of E. coli contamination.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service issued a public health alert Saturday for any meal kits shipped between July 2 and 21.

The ground beef in question is labeled 85% lean/15% fat with codes "EST#46481 L1 22 155? or "EST#46481 L5 22 155? on the side of the packaging.

The ground beef was shipped between July 2 and 21.

Because the meat is not still available for purchase, an official recall was not ordered.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is investigating an E. coli outbreak and "multiple" patients have reported eating the ground beef from HelloFresh kits, according to the FSIS.

Symptoms of an E. coli infection include severe stomach cramps, diarrhea and vomiting, according to the CDC. Some people also develop a fever.

Most people who are contaminated begin feeling symptoms within three to four days.
