When thinking of booking a trip to Hawaii the last thing you want to do is spend your days running around looking for the best things to eat. It's much better if the best food can come right to you. Instead of planning your vacation around what to eat (because let's face it that's what I do!) plan to stay where the best is already. These Honolulu hotels feature great dining options as well as gorgeous accommodations.

With five dining options, the Kahala Hotel & Resort is a great destination for foodies and earned it's place on this list of Honolulu Hotels. Hoku's fusion fare, combining the best of Hawaii, Asia, and Europe, is one of Hawaii's best restaurants. Step into the Plumeria Beach House open-air restaurant for all-day dining. Enjoy high tea at The Veranda while you watch the dolphins playing outside in the lagoon. Enjoy lunch on beachside tables at the Seaside Grill, and finish the day with dinner at Italian-inspired Arancino. You will also find a buffet breakfast served daily and special theme nights in the restaurants. Specialty food items like the resort's own chocolate-covered macadamia nuts are a perfect foodie souvenir to take home.

Dine with the Iron Chef? Yes, it's possible at The Modern Honolulu. At the Morimoto Wakiki you can dine at the open kitchen and sushi bar of the master himself. While Asian flavors are the goal, it is done using products from the island and choice seafood harvested off the Hawaiian and Japanese coasts. This isn't your only choice. You'll find two restaurants, three bars, room service, and catering options available. All food choices are created using fresh, local ingredients when possible. Breads are baked daily in the restaurants, and the salmon is even smoked there!

You can enjoy a variety of meal choices all day long at this hotel, but the real fun begins when the day turns to night. Enjoy a Polynesian dinner show in which ancient stories are told through song and dance. While you enjoy the performance, you can take your pick from the buffet full of island favorites. If you need something to cool down and relax, the Aloha Center Cafe has hot and cold drinks, smoothies, sandwiches, and pastries. You'll want to save your appetite for the Pacific Beach Hotel dinner buffet!

If farm-to-table flavors appeal to you, Kai Market at the Sheraton Waikiki is what you're after. You won't have to sit down to enjoy the food, as made-to-order gourmet meals are delivered for those who'd rather take a bite to the beach. The Edge of Waikiki, the Sheraton's oceanfront bar and restaurant, has a varied menu with Hawaiian twists. Entertainment in the afternoons and evenings include musicians, hula dancers, and even a knife show!

Of all the Hololulu hotels we have visited, this is by far my favorite! More than 20 dining options all at one place? Yes, that's what the Hilton Hawaiian Village offers. From steak and seafood at Bali Steak & Seafood to a gorgeous daily breakfast buffet at Rainbow Lanai and the famous Benihana, no one has a reason to be hungry. If you prefer to take something and go, several options are available for takeaway as well. Don't forget to attend the Waikiki Starlight Luau, offered each Sunday through Thursday evening, for a truly remarkable island feast.
