The 2022 NFL season is here, and once again, the Packers look like strong Super Bowl contenders.

Green Bay has been one of the NFC's best teams over the duration of Matt LaFleur's tenure as coach. He has gone 39-10 in regular-season contests while star quarterback Aaron Rodgers keeps getting better with age. He has won back-to-back MVP awards and is hopeful to challenge for another one in 2022.

That said, the Packers are getting a tough test out of the gate, as they will have to face a division rival on the road in their first contest.

The Vikings started anew this offseason, moving on from Mike Zimmer after eight years as head coach and hiring Kevin O'Connell, one of the NFL's youngest head coaches, to replace him. O'Connell will be tasked with reigniting what has been a good Minnesota offense that has the potential to be a bit more than that.

The Vikings will attempt to use Dalvin Cook, Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen to break down Green Bay's defense. Meanwhile, the Packers are without Davante Adams, so Rodgers will have to rely on the likes of Allen Lazard (if available), Sammy Watkins, Randall Cobb and Romeo Doubs to move the ball.

With that said, the advantage may look like it belongs to the Vikings. However, Minnesota's defense is weak at corner, and no amount of pass-rushing pressure from a vengeance-seeking Za'Darius White will make up for that. Plus, Rodgers is a bigger playmaker than Kirk Cousins, so the Packers can level the playing field.
