A multi-talented actress of her kind, Zoey Deutch's rise to stardom has been quite a unique story. Born into an artistic family of director Howard Deutch and actress-director Lea Thompson, Zoey kicked off her acting career in 2010 at the age of 15 as a part of Disney's original The Suite Life on Deck. Three years later, she had her big breakthrough alongside Emma Thompson in Beautiful Creatures as Emily Asher, as well as having cameo credits in a lot of series like NCIS, Switched at Birth, and Criminal Minds.

Fast-forward to 2022, and Zoey Deutch has become one of the most exciting Hollywood talents. Her recent film, Not Okay, sparked controversies, but it also ignited an important conversation among the audience: how far one could go to achieve internet stardom. So, what other films or media has the talented actress starred in?

In 2017, Zoey Deutch joined singer Ed Sheeran in his then-latest music video for "Perfect." An ode to lovers, the "Perfect" music video, starring the singer and the actress as romantic interests slow-dancing in the snow, captures a perfect wintery visual and its romantic story in the Hintertux Mountains, Austria.

Up to this writing, the music video has amassed over 3.2 billion views on YouTube, becoming one of the most-watched videos on the platform.

A year before the music video premiered, Zoey Deutch had her breakthrough acting role in the teen comedy Everybody Wants Some!!. Set in the 1980s in Texas, the film, which also stars Blake Jenner, Ryan Guzman, Wyatt Russell, and more, tells the story of an all-state pitcher and college freshman who moves into an off-campus dormitory with other baseball team members.

While the film wasn't exactly a commercial success ($5.4 million box office income out of its $10 million budget), it was a film that put Zoey on the map.

In the same year, she also starred as Zac Efron's love interest in Dirty Grandpa. Directed by Dan Mazer, the film chronicles the relationship between a lawyer and his grandfather (played by Robert De Niro) and their chaotic spring break trip to Florida.

While it's been freely dubbed as one of the worst modern-time films, Dirty Grandpa was an envelope-pushing comedy that pushed the boundaries. Commercially, it was a big success too, generating over $105 million out of its $25 million max-ed out budget.

In 2014, Zoey Deutch joined the likes of Lucy Fry, Sarah Hyland, Sami Gayle, Cameron Monaghan, and more in Mark Waters' movie adaptation of Vampire Academy. Inspired by Richelle Mead's novel series of the same name, the fantasy com-horror follows the return of friends to St. Vladimir's Academy boarding school a year after being on the run.

A failed film from critical and commercial standpoints, a fundraising campaign was held to fund the sequel, but it failed, and a reboot TV series is coming this year on Peacock.

In 2018's Set It Up, Zoey Deutch shares the stage with Glen Powell, Lucy Liu, and Taye Digs to tell the story of two overworked assistants who set up their bosses on dates. It's a perfect summer wit for every aspect: writing, comedic timing, authenticity, formula, and overall rom-com template.

Zoey and Glen Powell's chemistry is refreshing to see, and they're set to team up once again for another rom-com for Netflix called Most Dangerous Game - details of production, plots, and co-stars are yet to be announced.

A sequel to Ruben Fleischer's 2009 comedy classic Zombieland, Zombieland: Double Tap, starring the OG cast members (Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Abigail Breslin, and Emma Stone) with new additions like Zoey Deutch, Avan Jogia, and more, picks up what the previous film left off. The zombie slayers encounter a group of post-apocalyptic survivors and have to rely on each other to survive in an hour-and-a-half chaotic ride.

"That experience was so fun, and I've been begging Ruben [Fleischer] to put me in a movie of his again. But yeah, I would love to play Madison again. She's such a character," she recalled in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

While she's best known for her comedic roles, Zoey's acting range also spreads into drama - most specifically, in the 2017's biographical drama Rebel in the Rye. Based on Kenneth Slawenski's book about the life of writer J. D. Salinger during wartime, Zoey stars as Oona O'Neill, the romantic interest of young Salinger. Unfortunately, the film tanked horribly in the market and the eyes of the critics.

In 2016, Zoey Deutch linked up with big stars like James Franco and Bryan Cranston in the rom-com Why Him? Directed by John Hamburg, the film centers around two Stanford students as her father stops her boyfriend from proposing to her.

The film was a box office hit, creating over $118 million out of its $52 million budget, despite its lackluster critical reception.
