The method of travel in anime is just as important as the journey itself. For characters who dedicate themselves to a lifelong mission, being able to travel in comfort or pilot a machine that is out of this world may just make the treacherous journey worth it. From traveling the continent in a giant robot or through time with an artifact, anime voyages are filled with magical and scientific wonder.

As the protagonists go on their adventures filled with wonder and danger, sometimes the way they travel makes the whole journey magical. Whether these protagonists travel by land, air, or sea, transportation in the world of anime will always leave fans wishing they could come along too.

Whether it be by transportation crystals like in the world of Sword Art Online, a magical door that leads to a Restaurant of Another World, or a warping quirk like Kurogiri's in My Hero Academia, the ability to teleport is one of the coolest in anime.

No longer having to rely on walking or public transportation, teleportation is definitely one of the easiest methods to get from place to place. Not to mention that travel is typically instantaneous - no need to worry about being late again.

After watching Kino's Journey, any anime fan will be filled with wanderlust and itching to set off on their own road trip. However, one element that makes Kino's travels special is her trusted Brough Superior motorcycle, since it has a major personality in more ways than one.

Not only is Kino's motorcycle a beautiful work of machinery it also has the ability to talk. Kino's motorcycle, Hermes, is her trusted companion as she journeys around the world. Any fan on a road trip should have their own sentient motorcycle as their companion on the road.

The world of mecha anime is filled with various giant robotic machines. Typically, the protagonists will use their giant suits of armor to battle against their enemies. However, fans can't deny the desire to explore the world one big robotic step at a time.

From piloting Gundams to operating Silloute Knights from Knights & Magic, these battle machines are an impressive way to travel from place to place. Fans will just have to keep an eye out for any other giant robots who may stand in their way.

The world of One Piece is filled with various ships that travel the world by sea. Granted, traveling by ship may not be the most out-of-the-box way to travel in the world of anime, but fans cannot deny the magnetic pull of the Thousand Sunny. Built from Adam Wood, the Thousand Sunny is already a powerful and sturdy vessel.

However, with Franky's state-of-the-art Soldier Dock System and Coup de Burst, any One Piece fan would love to set sail on the future King of the Pirates' ship.

In any fantasy anime, traveling on a magical creature is a staple form of transportation, and any fan would love to try it. However, flying in the sky on the back of a fire-breathing dragon may take the cake.

Whether fans want to ride on the back of Spirited Away's Haku or be a Dragon Pilot like in Dragon Pilot: Hisone and Masotan, these scaley creatures would make the best travel buddies. But, of course, if fans ask Natsu Dragneel, he'd say that dragons aren't a form of transportation but his friends. Nevertheless, traveling by dragon is one fantastic way to see the world.

For fans of Studio Ghibli, the Catbus is one of the most fantastical forms of transportation throughout all of Miyazaki's films. First introduced in My Neighbor Totoro, Mei and Satsuki meet the feline automobile at a bus station in the rain.

At first glance, the Catbus looks like a giant cat. However, the Catbus is actually hollowed out with seats and windows for potential passengers. With its twelve legs, headlight-like eyes, and Cheshire grin, who wouldn't want to take this mystical bus and start a grand adventure?

Attack On Titan's maneuver gear may be primarily used to evade Titans and attack the monsters, but it is still an impressive form of transportation. The maneuvering gear is designed as a body harness that grants its user complete 3d mobility. With grappling hooks and iron wires, Survey Corps members can use the equipment to move freely in the sky.

Granted, the gear isn't as useful in large open terrain but to travel within an urban city from building to building; maneuvering gear is definitely the way to go.

With the ability to feel the breeze in your hair and to be able to see the world from a bird's eye view, flying is a fantastic way to travel. Like Yuno's ability to fly at exhilarating speeds using his wind magic in the world of Black Clover or Sanji's Sky Walking technique which allows him to race through the sky one step at a time in One Piece.

The ability to take off into the air is a form of travel almost anyone might want to try; just be sure to look out for some unexpected traffic.

Space travel in anime has always been one of the most incredible ways to see the universe. Whether the protagonists are just traveling through the stars or hopping from planet to planet, spaceships are the way to travel.

For fans of Edens Zero, Shiki's ship of the same name may be the best means to explore the cosmos. Its immense size, technology, and robotic companions make it the perfect ship for fans to go on their next adventure.

One of the most remarkable transportation methods is the ability to travel through time, just as Inuyasha's Kagome was able to travel to the past through the Bone Eater's Well or how Lucius is able to use a portal in a bath to travel from Ancient Rome to modern-day Japan in Thermae Romae Novae.

The ability to pop in from one point in time to another by just jumping through a portal provides an easy start to a miraculous adventure through time fans are envious to try.
