A former Derby County player dubbed a "transfer expert" will form a key part of Graham Potter's backroom staff at Chelsea.
Potter has taken Kyle Macaulay from Brighton to Stamford Bridge with the pair having formed a strong relationship ever since they were at Ostersunds. Macaulay is expected to have a big input on Chelsea transfers having held the title of assistant head of recruitment at the Amex Stadium.
Brighton unearthed some excellent talent during Macauley's time at the club with players such as Yves Bissouma and Marc Cucurella moving on for millions this summer to Tottenham and Chelsea respectively.

He is one of five members of Brighton's backroom staff that have joined Potter at Chelsea after they sacked Thomas Tuchel following a poor start to the season. Assistant Billy Reid, first-team coaches Bjorn Hamberg and Bruno, goalkeeping coach Ben Roberts have also quit for the Blues who paid around £2 million for their services.
Macaulay has Derby connections having spent two years at the club after joining as a 16-year-old but left two years later to join Aberdeen. He never made a first-team appearance, but did feature for Aberdeen in the Scottish Premier League.
But he linked up with Potter as a 26-year-old in Sweden and the pair have formed a strong relationship since which also led Macaulay to work for Potter at Swansea.
