Kylian Mbappe is already well on his way to cementing his status as one of the best footballers of his generation.

Still only 23 years old, Mbappe has scored over 200 career goals and won a host of major honours, including five league titles and the FIFA World Cup.

It would be a shock if the French superstar doesn't add a Ballon d'Or to his collection over the next few years, although Paris Saint-Germain may need to end their wait for the Champions League in order for that to happen.

You don't scale the heights that Mbappe has without possessing a fierce will to win.

All of the greats absolutely despise losing and will sometimes take their frustrations out on teammates if things aren't going their way.

A video clip of Mbappe 'grilling' teammate Achraf Hakimi has gone viral on social media this week, per the Daily Mail.

It's claimed Mbappe 'furiously scolded' his teammate over a poor pass during the 2021-22 Ligue 1 season.

Amazon Prime's cameras captured the pair in the tunnel discussing Hakimi's wayward pass during the half-time interval.

Urging Hakimi to watch the footage back, Mbappe said: "I swear, watch the video."

Hakimi responded: "If it's like that, I'm sorry."

Mbappe then said: "It's not enough to be sorry, give a good ball!"

Some football fans have been quick to criticise Mbappe after the footage emerged online, believing he shouldn't be speaking to a teammate like this.

But these types of conversations between players are almost certainly a lot more common than many people believe. It's just rare to hear them.

Moreover, Mbappe and Hakimi have a close relationship on and off the pitch.

Speaking about their friendship in March, Hakimi told Le Parisien, per Get Football News France: "We are two 23-year-old young men who share the same tastes. We talk about music and video games, we go to restaurants or we just spend time together. We like each other."

And in a previous interview, Hakimi was quoted as saying by PSG Talk: "It happened naturally, from day one. We are young; we have a lot of things in common, we are amused by the same things. This friendship makes us better and helps us to be complementary in the field."

Still, that doesn't mean that playing with world-class footballers like Mbappe is always easy.

They expect the highest standards - and if you're not delivering in their eyes, they'll soon let you know about it.
