Reports have emerged that suggest Wilfried Zaha is in talks over a new deal at Selhurst Park.

The Ivory Coast ace sees his contract with Crystal Palace expire at the end of the season and rumours surfaced late last month suggesting that Chelsea may look to swoop for the £34.2m-rated forward.

Now The Sun have claimed that Palace have offered Zaha fresh terms in order to fend off interest from elsewhere, with the 29-year-old free to speak with other clubs in January about a free transfer.

The same source suggests that it is unknown whether or not the Eagles' talisman will accept the approach and with a change in the dugout, it remains to be seen if Chelsea are still interested.

However, having scored 14 goals in the Premier League last term, nine of which came in the final 16 games following the Africa Cup of Nations, the 28-cap Ivory Coast international would be a very worthwhile option for the Blues and wouldn't cost a penny.

Zaha has made an explosive start to the 2022/23 season as well with four goals in five games, one more than Chelsea's highest scorer Raheem Sterling who is the only player at Stamford Bridge to score at least twice in this campaign.

After a failed move to Manchester United the forward himself has said before that he feels he could have "another shot at the top teams" and that opportunity could well come in west London if he decides to reject a renewal at SE 25.
