It's no secret buying a house here in Cornwall is usually pricey, but every now and then a few less expensive gems hit the property market. But that does not always mean they are in the same condition as more expensive homes and you might find yourself with a fixer-upper.
Despite the cost of buying a property in Cornwall seeing a sharp increase as a result of an increasingly competitive housing market, with the average home now in the region of over £300,000, there are several homes which have sold for well under £100,000 so far this year but the majority were flats.
The Land Registry lists the price paid for every property bought at market value. The data also includes sales under a power of sale/repossessions, buy-to-lets (where they can be identified by a mortgage) and transfers to non-private individuals.

As the data relies on buyers, or their solicitors, registering the sale and the price paid with the Land Registry, mistakes in listings may happen, but they are usually corrected at a later date. Issues can include figures with too many digits or shared ownership prices paid for a part share listed as the whole price.

12, Ocean View, Pentire Avenue, Newquay, TR7 1FJ, sold for £56,250 on February 4.
Flat 2, Drillfield House, Drillfield Lane, St Ives, TR26 1SR, sold for £62,500 on March 14.
7 Marthus Court, Liskeard, PL14 4EY, sold for £62,500 on May 13.
Flat 3, 24 Penare Road, Penzance, TR18 3AJ, sold for £65,000 on March 9.
4 Trevowah Meadows, Newquay, TR8 5SN, sold for £65,000 on March 16.
