"Drama Behind the Scenes" Kept Meghan Markle from Traveling to Balmoral with Prince Harry

Both Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stayed in England amid news that the Queen was placed under medical supervision on Thursday, while their husbands Prince Harry and Prince William traveled to Balmoral to be at her bedside. But apparently there was some "behind the scenes drama" regarding Meghan's plans, in that at first she was planning to accompany Harry to Balmoral, and then "tensions" were deemed too high.

The source added that "Harry and Meghan do hate being separated from each other, so being alone in Scotland will have been very hard for Harry. No wonder why he left so early."

Harry left Balmoral and returned to England on Friday, and he's expected to stay in the country for the next 10 days until the Queen's state funeral. He and Meghan are currently staying at their Windsor home Frogmore Cottage (just a five minute walk from Kate and William's home Adelaide Cottage). It's unclear if Meghan will return home to California as planned to be with the couples two children, or if Archie and Lilibet (who are now eligible to be Prince and Princess should Prince Charles grant them the title) will fly to England to be with their parents and attend their great-grandmother's funeral.
