A crowd has approached the vicinity of Buckingham Palace, already in mourning and with flags at half mast, after confirming the death of Queen Elizabeth II at the age of 96 and after 70 years of reign.

The outside of the official residence of the monarchy have become this Thursday a meeting place not only for tourists, as usual, but also for the curious and the media waiting to know the evolution of the state of health of the monarch.

Once the news was official, two Buckingham workers have gone outside with a formal notice of the death of the Queen, which has been hung on the outer fence of the Palace.

"The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The king and queen consort will remain at Balmoral tonight and return to London tomorrow," reads the letter, according to the BBC.

Another of the scenarios to which the eyes are directed is Balmoral, where the monarch was and that, after learning of the worsening of his health, has received the arrivals of their closest relatives.

The last to arrive was her grandson Prince Henry, Duke of Sussex, who, according to the media, arrived at Balmoral when the Queen had already passed away.

In Balmoral have gathered the children of Elizabeth II, including the now monarch Charles III, and his sons, Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and from now Prince of Wales, and his aforementioned brother.

Precisely in front of Balmoral Castle, British citizens have also gathered to lay bouquets of flowers in front of the fence of the facilities, a gesture that the police itself has facilitated the removal of the fences that delimited the perimeter.

Windsor Castle, the residence usually used by the late Queen, has also gathered dozens of British people, who have paid tribute to her.

On the other hand, in Piccadilly Circus, in the center of the capital, a message 'in memoriam' for Elizabeth II has been projected, an image that has been repeated in soccer stadiums in the UK where matches are being played today.
