The new era of Superman has been revealed, as Action Comics #1050 will see the hero in his biggest battle against Lex Luthor ever. The upcoming landmark issue from DC Comics will see an all-star creative team featuring the likes of Phillip Kennedy Johnson, Mike Perkins, Tom Taylor, and Joshua Williamson set the stage for what's to come next in Clark Kent and the world of Superman.

Superman has been away from Earth in his current ongoing series, as his battles with Mongul on Warworld have just concluded in epic fashion. Now, Superman will make his return home after the Death of the Justice League, as Action Comics #1050 from DC Comics will feature Clark Kent being reunited with Lois Lane and his son Jon Kent. However, his long-awaited return won't be without conflict, as Lex Luthor will steal something from his life that is so important that DC teases "it will change the very planet itself."

Action Comics #1050 will be the culmination of two years worth of Superman stories, as the oversized issue from Phillip Kennedy Johnson, Tom Taylor, Joshua Williamson, Mike Perkins, Clayton Henry, and Nick Dragotta will usher in the new era for Clark Kent. With Dark Crisis over and Superman back home, the Man of Steel will be pitted against Lex Luthor in an epic battle that will have serious implications on the DC Universe as a whole. DC Comics is rolling out the red carpet when it comes to covers for the series, as besides the main cover from Steve Beach, Action Comics #1050 will feature variants from Jim Lee, Alex Ross, Megan Huang, Crystal Kung, Lee Weeks, John Giang, Rahzzah, Gabriele Dell'Otto, Mike Perkins, Riley Rossmo, Dan Parent, Steve Lieber, Simone Di Meo, Pamela Hoogeboom, Nathan Szerdy and Rafael Sarmento. Additionally, the issue will feature incentive variants from Jonboy Meyers (1:25), Al Barrionuevo (1:50), Alexander Lozano (1:75), Steve Rude (1:100), Mike Allred (1:250), Ariel Colon (1:500), and Jim Lee (1:1050).

Action Comics #1050 will also feature a foil variant from Alex Ross, a trading card variant featuring a collection of covers from the issue, and a DC holiday variant cover from Jim Lee, Scott Williams, and Alex Sinclair.
