It's no secret to anyone that WWE had greatly diminished the quality of its product in recent years, and Vince McMahon was the main culprit, with his questionable booking decisions. Certainly, there were some amazing moments in the last few months under Vince McMahon's creative direction, such as Bianca Belair's revenge on Becky Lynch, or the trilogy of matches between Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins.

However, it's impossible to ignore some incoherent storylines, which ended abruptly, without explanation, or simply didn't work due to incorrect booking. With that said, let's take a look at 10 recent WWE storylines that went nowhere under Vince McMahon.

Roman Reigns and Finn Balor's Demon version engaged in a brutal battle at Extreme Rules 2021, which ended in a controversial fashion. The Demon nearly defeated Roman Reigns, but when the Demon was standing on the top rope, the rope broke, allowing the Tribal Chief to Spear and pin the Demon to retain the Universal Championship.

This made no sense whatsoever, and no one gave an explanation. It seemed like everyone in WWE, including Roman and Finn, forgot what happened in that match.

This storyline had a lot of potential, Sonya Deville was doing an excellent job as an authority figure, but in the end, it was a wasted opportunity. Sonya could have become the biggest female heel in WWE, literally rule the women's division, do whatever she pleases, but unfortunately, the booking was terrible.

Eventually this storyline went cold, Sonya became boring, and all of a sudden, they just decided to remove her from her position. This storyline should have led to something big, but it ended up going nowhere.

For months WWE was airing vignettes promoting Veer Mahaan's debut, but since the debut took too long, Veer Mahaan became a meme, or rather, hundreds of memes. Finally, Veer Mahaan made his debut on the April 4, 2022, episode of Monday Night Raw, looking like a true beast, squashing all of his opponents, including the legendary Rey Mysterio.

At first, it looked like Vince McMahon had big plans for Veer Mahaan, but it's now September, and Veer Mahan has done pretty much nothing on the main roster.

Prior to his controversial WWE release, Aleister Black appeared on SmackDown, attacking Big E with a Black Mass. It looked like a feud between Aleister Black and Big E was born, which would have been amazing, but sadly this storyline didn't develop.

Why book this run-in if you're going to release Black later? It's just absurd how Vince McMahon changed his mind overnight, and it really hurt the product.

Once upon a time, the King of the Ring tournament was relevant, but today it feels more like a bad joke. Xavier Woods won the King Of the Ring tournament, he became King Woods and was relevant for a couple of months, but suddenly he forgot his crown and his status, and you could say he won the tournament for nothing.

To make matters worse, we also had a Queen's Crown tournament, which saw Zelina Vega beat Doudrop to win the crown. Unsurprisingly, Zelina has been a terrible Queen due to pointless booking. Vince McMahon had no idea what to do with King Woods and Queen Zelina.

Eva Marie returned to WWE with the intention of making a big impact, creating the Evalution. Some fans thought that this time Eva Marie was going to be successful in WWE, but once again, her storyline went nowhere.

Eva brought in Doudrop, had a couple of feuds, including her feud with Alexa Bliss, which ended with a lousy match at SummerSlam 2021, but in the end, this storyline just didn't work and Marie was released again. Maybe Eva Marie had terrible performances, but with better booking maybe this storyline could have gone somewhere. Eva Marie returned to WWE for nothing, it was a total waste of time.

The match between Alexa Bliss and Eva Marie at SummerSlam 2021 was a disaster mainly due to the stupid booking of Alexa Bliss' supernatural gimmick. This storyline was intriguing at first, with Alexa betraying The Fiend and becoming a major threat to WWE's women's division, but eventually this storyline became boring, silly, and ended up going nowhere.

Alexa is an adorable babyface again, a normal wrestler, and Triple H surely wants fans to forget about Alexa's supernatural gimmick.

Toni Storm had an interesting main roster debut, having a good performance in the match between SmackDown and RAW at Survivor Series, and beating SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair via DQ.

Storm was feuding with Flair for a few weeks, but that storyline was terrible, it went nowhere, or well maybe it did lead to something, to Toni Storm requesting her release from WWE.

Since his WWE debut, Omos has been booked as an unstoppable force. Omos was RAW Tag Team Champion with AJ Styles, won a Battle Royale at Survivor Series 2021 looking like a true monster, then broke away from Styles and squashed him in a match, just like he did to all of his opponents.

The only one who could stop Omos was Bobby Lashley, but it wasn't easy for him, Omos still looked very powerful even in defeat. Then one of the best managers out there, MVP, joined forces with Omos, who continued to crush his opponents, including Riddle. However, Vince McMahon retired and never pulled the trigger on Omos.

Having no idea what to do with Baron Corbin, Vince McMahon decided to change his gimmick. This storyline started with Corbin going bankrupt, losing everything, doing great character work, by the way. This was intriguing at first, fans wanted to see where that led. Then, in Las Vegas, Corbin made a lot of money, becoming a millionaire again, and becoming Happy Corbin.

He had a show on SmackDown, teamed with Madcap Moss, and faced Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 38, but this storyline didn't lead to anything truly relevant, and even Corbin doesn't look happy anymore.

Seth Rollins was selected as Roman Reigns' opponent for Royal Rumble 2022, a match and feud that millions of fans wanted to see. Rollins and Reigns raised the hype in a matter of days, with their long history of love and hate together, and the match definitely delivered.

Rollins won by disqualification, but the two still went their separate ways and Rollins didn't demand a rematch, which makes no sense from a logical standpoint. So, this storyline lasted a couple of weeks, and ended abruptly, leaving fans wanting to see more.
